Doors and locks
A door that sticks or a lock that won't turn is the work order that comes in most. We fix the hardware and the door, and we tell you when it's a locksmith's job.
A work order here covers
Sticking and dragging interior doors, planed or re-hung
Loose hinges, strike plates and door stops
Door closers and weatherstripping on entry doors
Patio sliders: rollers, tracks and latches
Like-for-like swaps of a knob, lever or deadbolt

Time on site
What decides how long the job takes
There is no price list for a single repair. The plan we text back says what we expect before anyone drives over.
The door's condition
A hollow door with a crushed edge is a swap, not a repair. Photos tell us which.
Parts on hand
Common rollers, hinges and strikes ride in the truck. A special-order slider part adds a trip.
Access
A vacant unit with a lockbox is faster than an occupied one that needs a notice period.
Rules
When a job goes to someone else
Permits and licenses decide what a handyman may do. We tell you early.
Rekeying and master-key systems
Nevada licenses locksmiths separately. We replace a lock like for like and send rekeying to a licensed locksmith.
Fire-rated and accessible doors
These must keep their rating or clearance. We say so in the plan and don't swap them for a different door.
Doors in a building older than 1978
Planing or sanding old paint falls under the EPA lead rule. Tell us the year built.
Questions about this work
Can you rekey a unit between tenants?
No. We swap a lock for the same kind, and a licensed locksmith rekeys. We can be on site to meet them if you want.
A tenant is locked out. Do you come?
No. A lockout is a locksmith call. Text us afterward if the door or lock needs fixing.
Do you fix sliders that jump the track?
In most cases: new rollers, a cleaned track, a straightened frame. A cracked glass panel goes to a glass company.
